Interested in quality parenting? Raising a Thinking Child could be offered in your school or location. Do you want your children to:
- Increase their self control?
- Make and keep more friends?
- Increase their communication skills?
The Raising a Thinking Child workshop series will give your family the tools they need! This evidence-based workshop will help you guide your child to solve common, everyday problems while improving communication between you and your child. This class is designed for parents of 4-7 year olds.
Participants will learn:
- To give their children skills to solve their own problems and think about the consequences
- How to help care about and undrestand their own and others’ feelings
This program is facilitated by Angela Flickinger, Rock County UW-Extension Family Living Educator. It is a refreshingly practical curriculum that helps your child learn how to think and not what to think with interactive, fun activities for you and your child to do at home. You will learn new problem-solving techniques through 8 weekly classes.
For additional information or to schedule classes, contact Angie at the UW-Extension office, 608-757-5059.
