The Rock County Livestock Judging Team will be starting practice at the end of May
All 4-H members are eligible.
Junior Team is 9-14 years old and Senior team 15-19 years old
What will you do?
You will get the chance to visit livestock operations in and around Rock Co.
Evaluating and ranking cattle, hogs, sheep and goats on structural correctness, muscle, and overall quality.
You will learn about breed differences, growth and carcass traits as well as how to reason, and build communication skills when you join the judging team.
All members are eligible to compete in the district competition and qualified members will get to move on to the state contest.
