Classes in Janesville, Evansville and Online!
StrongBodies™ (also known as StrongWomen™) is a national evidence-based strength training program developed at Tufts University and is aimed at mid-life and older women and men. The benefits of strength training have been studied extensively and include increased muscle mass, strength and improved bone density, as well as additional physical and emotional benefits. The StrongBodies™ program includes progressive strength training and balance and flexibility exercises. These exercises are safe and effective for all ages, including those who are not in perfect health. Rock County StrongBodies™ classes are led by trained local volunteer instructors and some sessions may also include optional health, wellness and other educational programming after the exercise session concludes. In-person and online classes are available.
Choose your location, day and time below. Classes meet two or three times per week, and sessions run 10 to12 weeks. There is not a fee to attend classes, but a donation of $20 to $30 per session is suggested to help offset program costs.
Please note that all classes will follow guidance from UW-Madison and Rock County Public Health regarding COVID-19 precautions. Face masks are currently required for all in-person programming.
