Rock County 4-H involves youth in grades 5K-grade 13 in project-based education. Youth explore their interests (“Sparks”) and master new skills.

Did you know that Rock County 4-H Youth Development is home to the largest 4-H club program in Wisconsin? Pretty awesome, right?
In our 4-H community and after-school clubs, youth dive into hands-on projects, county-wide activities, and real-world learning that sparks curiosity and builds confidence. With strong youth–adult partnerships, members get to try new things, explore their interests, and develop lifelong skills—all while having a blast!
4-H helps young people grow into leaders, make friends, get involved in their community, and discover what they’re capable of. It’s fun, it’s meaningful, and it’s an experience that sticks with you for life.

Rock County 4-H Youth learn life skills through community and after school 4-H clubs, county-wide activities and 4-H projects. Strong youth-adult collaborations provide opportunities for youth to develop skills through hands-on, practical, research-based, fun activities. Experience 4-H
Rock County 4-H provides a wide variety of opportunities for youth to find out what next experience, or activity, really gets them engaged, excited and thriving! Explore all kinds of experiences like Cloverbuds (K-2 grade), summer camp, arts festivals, county sports, regional educational trips, national conferences, and more!
4-H Volunteers
The essential backbone of the Rock County 4-H program is the energy, guidance and support of the adult volunteers! As a UW Madison 4-H Volunteer, you’ll provide a safe, engaging place for youth to take risks, practice their independence and master new skills.
